Plastic waste is one of the most persistent environmental problems, with billions of tons of plastic ending up in landfills, oceans, and ecosystems each year. This pollution harms wildlife, contaminates water sources, and takes hundreds of years to decompose. Reducing plastic use by switching to biodegradable alternatives, improving recycling systems, and encouraging reusability can significantly reduce the amount of plastic waste produced. By adopting these practices, we can lessen environmental pollution, protect wildlife, and reduce the carbon footprint associated with plastic production and disposal.
